How to view the Megavideo videos on the iPhone and Apple TV JB

In the following we will explain how to view videos on Megavideo directly on the iPhone JB and Apple TV JB.

iPhone

The guide is only for Jailbroken iPhone.

1. from Cydia, add the following repo: http://mirrors.xbmc.org/apt/ios/
2. after installation go to search and install: XBMC
3. After completing the installation, open XBMC select VIDEO
4. click on Video Add-ons
5. click on Get More
6. touching the bottom of the window, place your finger up to iluminarsi of the side scroll bar look for the plugin PELISALACARTA
7. Install PELISALACARTA
8. after installation, return to the HOME and go to the VIDEO, click on Video Add-ons and finally click on Pelisalacarta
9. here you go to CONFIGURATION and set your MEGAVIDEO PREMIUM MODE (USERNAME and PASSWORD) If you have one, otherwise there will be the limit of 72 minutes vision and quality of the video in low resolution.
10. Now we set Megavideo in Italian, then go to: Channels (All languages), then click on All, and we will search for CINEBLOG01
11. find a movie on this channel and click on the link
12. now we can set the quality of the video stream and launch the movie.

Apple TV

The guide is only for Apple TV Jailborken (link).

From PC or Mac

* Download the package from the official website here and dezippiamo folder on the desktop
* Connect via SSH to the Apple TV, Mac we use the program WinScp, Cyberduck for Windows
* Start the SSH communication program
* In "Host" enter the IP address of our Apple TV
* In "user", enter "root"
* In "password" enter "alpine" (remember to select the type of communication in SFTP or port 22)
* We reach the folder "Applications"
* Copy the folder, downloaded above, "Pelisalacarta"
* Expect the end of the process
* Reboot the Apple TV


Now we come to the Apple TV

Once installed, simply enter into XBMC and select menu

"Video"->

"Video Add-ons->

"pelisalacarta" >

"Channels (All languages)"->

"Servers"->

"Megavideo"->

At this point, enter the Code from the example Megavideo videos, if the link Meagavideo èhttp://www.megavideo.com/?v=HLQF8, the code to insert will be HLQF8 select "Ver el Vìdeo", choosing between Low and High quality.

Yesterday, after some digging, we were able to confirm that the internal codename for Google’s upcoming social project is “Emerald Sea“. Despite some confusion that it may be called “Emerald City“, it is definitely “Sea”, we’ve confirmed with several sources. But there’s more.

As one of our sources told us yesterday, these codenames quickly evolve. And in fact, it now looks like Emerald Sea may already be a slightly older name. And Google may be close to picking the final name for the product. As of right now, we’re hearing it’s being called “Google +1″ or “Google Plus One”.

Our source on this wasn’t sure if this will end up being the final name, but it is definitely the one they’re using internally right now with the thought that it could be the final name. The “Plus One” name apparently is derived from some of the functionality of the project. In this case, you could think of  ”+1″ as being Google’s version of the “Like” or “Retweet”. It also speaks to the the fact that you’re not doing something alone on the web. It’s social, get it?

Another source suggests another possible name Google is considering: “@Google” or “At Google”. Yes, that would seem to be a total Twitter rip-off, but several other social services have since adopted the @reply syntax since Twitter made it popular a few years ago.

More interesting than the name though is who is said to be taking a very active role in the development: Sergey Brin.

One source says that Google’s co-founder has moved the project to an area of the Googleplex called “Building 2000” (which is also home to a new Google campus store and a slide!) and that the area is now in a state of lock down as they prepare the project.

Other sources suggest that “there is still a lot of grumbling” surrounding the project internally. This seems to sync up with previous reports of internal disagreement that has led to delays. As we first reported, Google VP Vic Gundotra has been leading the project, so it’s not clear how or if Brin’s hands-on involvement has altered that.

In its current state, Google +1 is said to be a toolbar that appears across many of Google’s services. That is said to include their Chrome web browser. Though one source says they believe it will be a Chrome extension, rather than being fully baked into the browser — at least for now. And while +1 should start on Google properties, the idea would be get other sites to implement it too — perhaps like Facebook’s Like button and other social widgets.

Google clearly really, really wants to get this social stuff right, this time. And to that, I say “+1″.

We've been dying to get our hands on a decent docking system for Mac notebooks, so we were
like children at Christmas when we unboxed the Henge Dock.
Henge Docks turn your notebook into a desktop system without you having to faff around reconnecting your keyboard, mouse and screen when you bring it into your office. Instead, you lower it into the dock onto the row of connectors. And because the Mac stands vertically, the whole thing takes up very little space.
The docks are model-specific and come with a load of port extender leads, which you leave clamped into the dock. To ensure each is attached in the correct place, you're recommended to attach them one at a time, which can take a little while, but you only do this once.
Getting the Mac in and out of the 13-inch MacBook Pro dock we tested is easy enough, even with a full complement of connectors – though you need two hands, one to hold the base and the other to lift out the Mac.
It doesn't come with a Mini DisplayPort adapter or MagSafe power connector, and with the latter lies a problem. Because you have to clamp each connector in, you ideally need a second power adapter to take on your travels or you'll constantly be unclamping and reclamping it if you need longer use than the battery will give you.
We also worried about scratching the Mac's casing when sliding it in and out – a soft lining on the dock would have reassured us.
